White spots?!?!?

I have these white spots on my face everytime i get in the sun. I want to be one of those girls that has pretty skin and dont have to wear make up but i cant if i have these white spots on my face. WHAT SHOULD I DO??White spots?!?!?
Sometimes people get white spots on places because of the melanin in their body not spreading around well enough. Are you drinking plenty of water? Try to make sure you are, and rub your skin with Aveeno lotion daily. In a few days after laying out in the sun more that should really help but if it doesn't i would contact a dertmatologist since it might become something a little more serious. But dont worry this isnt something rare. Oh yeah and make sure you're taking plenty of Vitamin C because it helps your body react much better to sun exposure.White spots?!?!?

I used to have the same problem. So did my Dad. The white spots are actually already there, but do not tan and become more noticable after sunning. This is a very common condition that (don't get grossed out) grows on the skin like a dandruff or yeast.

It's very common and if you have a certain skin type that is susceptible to this, you can in fact catch it from another by skin contact. Heres the good news - you can clear it up easily!

Go to the drug store and buy dandruff shampoo (Selsun or Head and Shoulders etc...) buy the one with the highest amount of ';Selenium Sulfide'; (usually 2.5%) (You can also have your dermatologist prescribe and even higher amount)

Apply it to your skin and leave it on for about 30 minutes then shower off. Do this for a few days or until it disappears - you'll know it's cleared when you are exposed to sun again and your tan finally becomes even! Don't leave it on too long like I did, or you can seriously dry your skin out!!!

ps: Some of the shampoos smell better than others...Also, you can re-apply the shampoo to your skin occasionally to keep it from coming back...

Good luck! and Happy tanning...but don't tan too too much - you know all the dangers of prolonged suntanning....I just had to add that disclaimer!

Do you wear sunscreen? if not, start now. You should never tan your face, that's why bronzer's were invented. Always wear a hat when your at the beach. I know you probably think it's corny to do but God only gave us one body and it has to last us our lifetime so we should take of it really well. And besides, you don't want to look like 40 when your 30 yrs old. The white spots will probably fade with your tan but I suggest you see a dermatologist. Good luck.

Hi there. As a Mary Kay beauty consultant I highly recommend our microdermabrasion set. It evens out skin tone and reduces the appearance of dark spots, best of all it was developed for the facial area, so you can be sure its great for sensitive areas. And yes it really works, as an aesthetician I was trained doing real microdermabrasion for spa's and I can tell you those treatments are crazy expensive, this mary kay one can be done in the privacy of your own home and gives the same results as the expensve spa treatments, I actually use it and love it!!!...anyway if you are interested email me, I would love to help you.

Makeup looks horrible on me cause of my spots!!!!?

when i waer foundation it clumps around my spots and looks horrible!! i know your all gunna say just dont wear makeup but i need too but i waer lighter makeup by using powder and that looks bad too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! help!!!!!!!!!!!!Makeup looks horrible on me cause of my spots!!!!?
My sister has this problem aswell. I would suggest using foundation, because you're less like to get rid of your spots with it, because its not letting your skin breath. What she uses is just a concealer that has built in spot fighting properties. This is good because it lets the skin breath aswell. Using power will dry out your skin aswell so I would suggest that either. Try just using a concealer for the problem areas. Hope it works :) The website has concealers on it. Once you ar ein go to products, find my usual product, then use the scroll list to go to concealers etc. If you have trouble finding it just gimme and email or something :) xXxMakeup looks horrible on me cause of my spots!!!!?
Hey I have the same problems sometimes. What I did was, I started using True Pore-Fection from AVON. They have a few different kinds. I would suggest use the one that is best for you.
WHY DON`T YOU TRY MiCRODERMABRASiON TO GET RiD OF YOUR SPOTS OR SOME OTHER KiND OF TREATMENT ?
try to get rid of your pimples or acne first. then buy a foundation that works and wont make your skin look unnatural. good luck

    thanks a bunch :)

oh and am from east Afirca , to give an idea about my skin type thaaaaaanksBlack spots?
they are called blackheads. They are basically open pores then have dirt in them and will eventually turn into pimples.

You should get some neutrogena blackhead remover.

    Good luck ;-)

    Brown spots on sunburn??

i went to miami for spring break last week and go a pretty bad burn in the middle of my chest. these little brown spots appeared in the burn...will they go away? my burn is now a tan but there are still a few brown spots.Brown spots on sunburn??
They will fade a little but it takes a really long time. I still have brown freckles on my back from a burn I got 4 years ago. At least the bathing suit lines have faded.Brown spots on sunburn??
Yikes!! get to the dermatologist right away! It's probably nothing, but since skin cancer is reaching epidemic proportions, I'd say you don't want to take ANY risks!!
you'll be fine love, ive seen some pretty bad cases that didnt end up in anything... besides i fake bake and those show up more when i do.. if you stop tanning they might go away but if you keep tanning theyll most likely stay.. i personally like them but its your opinion

they could also possibly be skin that didnt exfoliate off with the other pieces as much too and if thats the case ya theyll go away prob within a week
    hm...

i live in hawaii...so know all about sunburns =]

itl definatly go away. dont worry about it. its what happens to alot of the tourists that visit here, who like dont get much sun i guess where they live. so like when they get the burn it just looks different.

iv lived here all my life, so when i get burned, its just tan...xD

    so relax

    Shaving Spots down there? ?

I always get so many! how can I avoid them?Shaving Spots down there? ?
wax insteadShaving Spots down there? ?
Well razor bumps can be avoided by not shaving the hair, you can opt for trimming the hair. Or if you must eliminate those hair you can go with hair removal products in the form of lotion, I use Nair's hair removal lotion and it doesn't cause razor bumps. If you insist on shaving, I once read in a magazine that you should make sure that the area you're shaving is clean and cleanse it all over afterwards so that nothing will go in your opened pores.
i know it sounds crazy but if you use mens shving cream and after shave. you will not have any razor bumps.

    make shure to by unscented
    wax
If you don't mind a guys opinion, this is what I know.

Hair doesn't grow straight out.It grows on an angle.

Shave with the grain, not against.I don't get bumps (on my face) anymore.
