so i have these white spots that are spreading all over my arm and i have really dry skin..can anyone tell me what the white spots are?!?! any ideas??White spots...any idea what they are?
Quite possibly vitiligo. It's an auto immune skin disorder where your body destroys the melanin (pigment) in your skin. It's not contagious, doesn't hurt, and there's nothing you can do to stop it. Many times it is an inherited trait.My daughter has it. It isn't a health concern, but is a cosmetic concern for some--example Michael Jackson. If this is what you have, you will need to use sunscreen whenever you are outside as the white spots have no protection and burn very easily.White spots...any idea what they are?
are the spots raised? is youre skin rough? it may be something called keratosis pilaris, where th openings of the hair follicles become enlarged by hard plugs of keratin, i would go to the doctor who can enlighten you a bit more about what is going on with your skin, good luck!
