Your skin is shedding the damaged outer layer because you got too much exposure. It's very common in the facial area. In the future, find a good facial moisturizer with at least SPF 15 sunscreen, and higher if you're going to be in the sun for more than 1 hour. Reapply every two hours.





Avoid aloe vera gels except at nighttime. Oatmeal baths work wonders for peeling bodies, but it's rather tough to make that work for faces. Aveeno has several lotions with oatmeal extracts, these tend to work well for damaged skin.





Unfortunately you won't be able to stop the peeling, but you can take some prophylatic measures to prevent future problems. In the meanwhile, keep your skin moisturized, and wear sunscreen.

i have gone into tannin beds and now when i look at myself where i got burnt there are whits marks. it is some type of skin pigmentation that is very common and to get them to go away is use a type of lotion which is a self tanner it really helps to make them ';disappear';

aloe is a mosturizer for sunburns that will prevent it from peeling, but your tan will disapper if you continue peeling...get some aloe vera from a local drug store and somewhere and put it on...it prevents it from itching! but dont go in the sun with aloe on! it attracts sun and you will get FRYED!
put lotion on it for the dryness and use the aloe gel stuff right before you go to bed. it cools it down alot and will stop the peeling and redness.
