Hey Nicnac,

Exfoliating face srubs work the best. I get a few spots here and there, ive used EVERYTHING and personally ive found that the exfoliating Clean%26amp;Clear daily face scrubs works the best. Clearasil is c.r.a.p in my opinion it does not do what it says, ( creams dont work either), freederm brings spots, oxy does nothing. So i would reccomend Clean%26amp;Clear exfoliating facial scrub and one of them steam bath thingies over your face (cant remember what they are called!) but that usually reduces redness of the spots! GOOD LUCK, hope this helps x~x
Happened to me as well(!), I had model prefct skin through my teens and hit my 20's spots came all the time. It was a lifestyle change for me, too much stress, drink, and smoking! I gave up the smoking and sitting in grubby smoky bars so much it helped a lot!

I worked for a skin doctor for a while who gave me some products to use that did the job. Try Agera products http://www.agera.co.uk/ (expensive but wonderful) the salysillic wash clears the spots up straight away as it kills the bacteria in the skin. They also have a vitamin c scrub with an activating gel that clears skin up lin 2 days! They last for ages and are worth every penny. I have perfect skin again now.
hi

This link has some good home based remedies and solutions,it really worked for me so here goes,

http://www.wellnesstalk.org/acne.html

good luck
Could be shaving. Try using sensitive shaving gel and a cream aftershave instead of alcohol.
Exfoliating scrub things, like St. Ives apricot scrub, followed by tea tree oil wipe. Sorted.
spots are evil, i get the same ones n they last ages before they even come to a head
USE A CLAY BASED FACEPACK ONCE A WEEK,USE MEDIMIX SOAP ONCE IN DAY.DO NOT TOUCH IT OFTEN,KEEP YOUR NAILS CLIPPED.
tea tree oil or toothpaste!
Lataliano - this is clearly a female so I doubt she's shaving her face!! Try Clearosil face pads they are very good and stop the spots popping up
use a face wash on your chin... and they should go away.

good luck
Try the Witch Hazel range - just recommended to another spot ques. Inexpensive and works from when you first feel 'bump' to preventing them appearing. Is also gentle so ok for sensitive skin. They do a fab facewash, moisturiser and instant 'stick' which is easy to carry round for zapping!! Hope that helps!
Most importantly DON'T TOUCH THEM!!! Try using a cleanser with salicylic acid in it and use a non-greasy moisturiser. Don't scrub them as this can irritate the skin even more. First thing in the morning have a mug of boiling water with a slice of lemon in it - good for flushing out toxins - and drink plenty of water throughout the day. Use a tea tree stick or some germolene to kill the spots off should they keep appearing. Failing that, you could see a dermatologist, but i'd also recommend trying one of those chinese medicine places.
try t.c.p..when you first notice the spot coming...it works wonders
This works for me give your face a good wash ,before you go to bed then put a little toothpaste on each spot ,(let the toothpaste dry before going to bed) wash it off in the morning usually starts to work straight away but can take a couple of days.
it could be either a hormone imbalance or your diet. do you tend to get them before your period or have you just started taking a new contraceptive pill? also- have you been eating badly recently or anything that you didnt used to eat?

I always get spots when i have been staying up late and eating rubbish! (and im 27)

the exfoliating is important too- i also have sensitive skin and am allergic to lots of different make ups and creams (look out for lanolin in the ingrediants)

Good luck! oh- a good concealer is bobbi brown for the meantime ;)
Hello, I had lovely skin as a teenager, then I hit 24 and I errupted in spots on my chin. Huge big red swellings. Ouch! They eventually spread to my forehead and then my cheeks.

There are 2 things you can do:

1)Get Oxy On The Spot (2.5% Benzoyle Peroxide). Apply to your chin twice a day after washing. Be generous, put on loads of cream! Rub in VERY gently so that you are barely touching the skin. It will take a while to dissolve, but be patient. Once it has been rubbed in you may want to apply a little moisturiser as this stuff can be a bit drying. Do this twice a day for however long it takes. It works by forcing oxygen into the skin, acne bacteria can't live in the presence of oxygen. For the first couple of weeks you may feel your skin tingling/burning, but this is normal, and so is the dryness. Your skin will get used to it so persevere.

2) Go to www.b5clearskin.com. If the spots on your face get really bad, take this vitamin exactly as the website says. It killed my acne and now, from using these 2 items, I have lovely smooth skin.
Yes! ive had the exact same problem execpt mine were on my cheeks. yuck. When they become undergrounder, big, profile changing bumps, it is a sign that you have an infection with the bacteria that causes acne and it is not being effectively controled by your immune system. The best thing to do is to start taking Zinc supplements or else cat麓s claw, these help your immune system get control of the infection and really make a difference, my big zits started going almost immediately after i started taking zinc, it was just the 麓boost麓my immune system needed to naturally get rid of the spots (infection). Also, keep using a good anti-acne face wash and make sure to moisturise because over-washing of your face and the use of too many zit-drying products just increases acne by causing your skin to produce excess sebum (oils) which then worsen the problem! You can also get antibiotics from the doctor, but that is usually only for extreme cases of acne, yours just sounds like it needs a little inner help from zinc or cats claw, which is a natural cure that also helps your whole body (-:
Try green tea to detox ur body, it does taste disgusting but once you get used to it u will find it makes a big difference. =D
Try mineral makeup. It is light but covers spots. It is made from natural ingredients so is good for your skin.

puritycosmetics.co.uk is a good brand.
dab on pure tea tree oil every few hours, starting as soon as you feel the tingle. Works like magic!
If it is turning into a black head, try BIORE. I get it at Wal-Mart. There easy to put on strips. You can do it yourself. It might hurt the first couple of times. When you pull it off it just feels like you were pulling tape. Anyway, I hope you try it. I hate to be without it. Good Luck!..
i have the same prob! Dont squeeze them - they will spread!!! drink lots and lots of water. use a toner and a non-oil cream after washing
I've got exactly the same problem; do you get them at any particular point in your cycle?

In my case it is white heads that flare up due to a hormonal imbalance, you may want to ask your doctor about getting some tests done just to check and start taking evening primrose oil.

Often in more 'alternative' medicines spots on the chin is a sign of a problem with your liver, so it might be worth looking into your diet and drinking, make sure you are getting a good diet with as much raw fruit and vegetables as possible along with a lot of water, try to avoid any binge drinking at the pub too.

Skin care is a big factor as well of course;

Clean twice a day, have a good exfoliate once every other day (use creams/washes with beads, not anything like St. Ives apricot scrub becuase the exfoliating parts of rough/sharp so can cause small cuts in your skin where bacteria can get in causing more spots), steam or use a face mask once a week, use a toner after washing to make sure you get rid of all the dirt, moisturise, keep clean face cloths and towels to yourself, keep clean bedding, avoid make-up or at least heavy foundation, keep your hands off your face (consider getting an antibacterial gel for your hands to keep them clean when you do touch your face), and when you do get spots try witch hazel gel or tea tree oil on them, when you pop them get yourself some hydrogen peroxide to clean them with (I'd suggest watering it down with your toner).

The best method for cleansing your face when you have spots, in fact the best thing for skin full stop is Oil Cleansing Method (OCM) - this is where you use oil to cleanse your skin.

Most people start with a 50:50 mix of Extra Virgin Olive Oil : Castor Oil, EVOO is moisturizing where as Castor Oil is cleansing 鈥?some people will use other oils (I personally use nothing but Jojoba oil) and will change the mix to perhaps 75:25 or 25:75 depending on their skin type (i.e. if your skin is dry you would use more EVOO to moisturize), and some will also add essential oils such as lavender or tea tree oil (both help prevent and treat spots) 鈥?one advantage of OCM is that it is totally customisable so if your skin type changes, as it does very often, you can change the mix to suit your skin.

You put the oil onto your face, then take a facecloth that has been into hot water and rung out and put the facecloth onto your face, leave the facecloth on your face for a minute so it is similar to steaming your face to open up your pores, then wipe off the oil 鈥?follow with a toner such as Rosewater to help clean off any small excess oil and tighten your pores after they have been opened by the heat of the facecloth.

Reason it works is because it does not strip your skin of it's natural oils 鈥?when you wash your face with washes or soap it strips the natural oils that help keep your skin healthy and help keep your pores clean, so your skin is not only not as healthy as it should be but your skin also produces a load more oil to make up for all it has lost.

Reason for OCM being so good is not only is it VERY good for your skin, but it is also very customisable, cheap, easy to get a hold of, easy to use, does not support animal testing (as many commercial products do) and does not contain a load of toxic chemicals (as many commercial products do).
