White Spots on Nails?

There are these little white spots that used to be the size of a small earring stud, but now like a pin dot on my thumbnail. Everyone says its because you don't drink enough milk, but I drink more milk than water and maybe its going away, but its been there for a LONG time. Help??White Spots on Nails?

That is a common myth when people say that it's from lack of calcium. It's actually if you hit your finger nails off of something. Depending on the person it could be from gently hitting your nail off something, or it could take alot of force. Most dont even notice they've hit their nail so they dont remember where it came from.
The white spots are known as calcium spots... If you are taking in a lot of calcium, sometimes it shows in your nails. It is not a bad thing. But if you want them to go away, focus on other drinks, rather than milk or avoid a few dairy products XD
its because you arent getting enough calcium. and just because you drink a lot of milk, that doesnt mean you get enough calcium. i suggest taking calcium pills.
Sometimes if your enemic, you get white spots on your nails.





Try intaking more iron in your diet, or take an iron supplement.
They are caused by previous injury to the nail bed.


Vitamins will probably help only in the aid of healing

this same problem happened to me too! I just left it alone, the nails will grow out. try to eat more nutritious and healthy food.
Its just calcium deposits that a lot of people have. They can come from being to stessed or not getting enough calcium in your diet
