Foundation , do you put it on all of your face or just some spots? i don't know .. please help!?

My friend says she puts foundation all over her face.


Is it suppose to be like you are putting a layer of a mask over your face? Do you blend it in your neck? i don't really understand the point of it and where to put it? also what is the difference between concealer and foundation? can someone please explain this to me? thanks!Foundation , do you put it on all of your face or just some spots? i don't know .. please help!?
concealer is used to cover imperfections. use it over discolorations or smaller pimples. green tinted concealers will make red spots dissappear and yellow tinted ones will make dark spots lighter. if you use a concealer, you will need to put foundation over it. make sure to get one that matches your skin tone. dont try to look darker by getting a shade or two darker than you really are, then you look fake.


evenly apply the foundation to your entire face. i would suggest using a cosmetic wedge (you can ge them at any drug store or walmart).


adding a thin layer of loose powder on top of everyting will set your foundation and keep you from looking too shiny.

Foundation is for all over your face, and then you want to cover that with a good powder to make it stay for a longer period of time, if you just want to cover a few pimples, a scar, or dark circles under ur eyes, then concealer is for you.
Foundation first. Otherwise, you're gonna wipe off most of your concealer in the process. So foundation (that's why it's called that), then concealer %26amp; then some powder. Always blend it along the bottom of your jawline so that you don't have a 'mask' look. You want it to look as natural as possible. So the difference is; foundation gives you...well..a foundation to work with %26amp; then the concealer just conceals those 'not-so-nice' spots.
if you dont put foundation all over ur face, it would be an uneven skin tone. try putting on the concealer first (if you have any scars or blemishes) and then cover up ur face witht the foundation. if u dont want it in excess or are worried u can mess up and think that ur face will be different from ur neck, try mixing up the liquid foundation with some cream, it lightens it up and doesnt make it look weird. good luck
